Showcasing wines from more than 30 wineries, Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend is back this year with a program bursting with good food, wine and music. The 34th festival will be held from 19-22 May in 2017. Enjoy everything from exclusive tastings to regionally focused cuisine made by local chefs highlighting local produce.

Link SA will once again be helping provide safe and convenient transport between festival locations. Visit www.linksa.com.au to purchase a transport ticket online for $33 or snag one fro the Clare Valley Food and Wine Tourism Centre for $35. A shuttle bus service will also allow pre-booked transport from Adelaide on the Link SA website. Designated Drivers can pick up special wrist bands to take advantage of special offers at various venues in the festival.

Highlights from this year’s program include Brew House Blues at Pikes Wines on Friday from 5:30pm onwards, where you can enjoy the sounds of live blues and roots with Pikes beers or wines by the glass. $20 entry includes a free glass of wine or beer, with children entry $10 per head (book online). Saturday and Sunday, from 11am-5pm Pikes will still be in full swing, hosting Gourmet Groove on the lawn. Rock, soul and blues music with the freshly shucked oysters from Pacific Estate Stansbury on offer, it’ll be a sweet sanctuary for the weekend.

Don’t forget the Gourmet Hub, which will see fabulous wine sales, Latino groove music and food to match. Food, wine and good vibes will be going on Saturday and Sunday with a early morning recovery breakfast on the Sunday. Check out the online program to find out which venues are accepting busses.

Stay all through the weekend until Monday and enjoy the fruits of a regional wine sale at selected wineries. Pick up a bottle or two at Eldridge Wines, Mitchell Wines, Kilikanoon Wines, Mt Surmon Wines, Paulett Wines, Tim Adams and Mr Mick and Taylors Wines.
