Australia’s oldest food and wine event is back next weekend! The Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend takes place from 18-21 May and features many of the region’s wineries hosting numerous foodie events, tastings and live entertainment. Ready to venture up to Clare for a stay-cay?

The Gourmet Hub 

The Clare Showgrounds come alive as five local wineries and celebrated South Australian eateries come together dishing up delicious Spanish-inspired food, incredible wine and of course great entertainment! Wineries include Rhythm Stick Wines, Artwine, Penna Lane Wines, Farrell Wines and Greg Cooley Wines. The Clare Valley Cuisine Gourmet Market will also be showcasing the region’s amazing produce. Heading there on Sunday? There will be breakfast from 9am.

Jim Barry Wines / Santorini Long Lunch

Okay maybe not quite, but you’ll indulge in a relaxed Mediterranean feast complete with Greek wine in Tuscan-inspired surrounds. Popular craft brewer, Clare Valley Brewing, have teamed up with Jeanneret Wines for the return of their ‘Into the Woods’ event. Tasty craft beer isn’t the only beverage you’ll be enjoying with sangria, frose and wines from Jeanneret being served all day. There’ll also be music from Jimmy Flamingo Party Cartel, so grab your friends for the perfect day party…

Pikes Wines / Degustation Lunch by Stuart Oldfield

For the food obsessed, a relaxed degustation lunch at Pikes Wines is your go-to next Saturday. Settle into a five course Moroccan feast created by celebrated chef Stuart Oldfield. The Middle Eastern themed menu will be perfectly matched to Pikes reserve and museum wines.

Kilikanoon Wines / Flames, Feast & Fun 

Red wine and steak, is there anything better? Treat your senses to the smell and taste of smokey Argentinian cuisine at Kilikanoon Wines cellar door. While you sip on a few of the vineyards beautiful drops be sure to taste the asado style menu courtesy of La Boca Bar and Grill. There will be masterclasses running throughout the two-day event and live music to help you soak up the ambience.
