South Australia’s first Peruvian restaurant.

As the first and only Peruvian restaurant in South Australia, Mestizo Cocina Peruana is proud to introduce a cuisine full of history and a fusion of many cultures.

Mestizo restaurant brings an authentic taste of Peru to the laid back suburb of Glenelg South, with diners scattered amongst tables, lounges and stools at the bar. There is a relaxed atmosphere throughout the establishment.

Whether it’s a birthday celebration on Saturday night or a catch-up with old friends on a lazy Sunday afternoon, ‘The Pisco Bar’ is the perfect spot to begin. With several different varieties of Pisco to enjoy, including the ever popular Pisco Sour; our resident barman Will is on hand to share the story of this treasured national spirit whilst feasting over some Piqueos (small plates).

Let Chefs Renzo Canepa and Justin Hamam take you on a six course food journey on the Huatia degustation with a glimpse into the joys of Peruvian cuisine. Aji Amarillo, Aji Panca chillies for example, are paired with local seafood, pork and beef, with seasonal South Australian produce, as the degustation changes daily.

Mestizo Cocina Peruana’s intention is to create flavours and develop their ideas in the kitchen and behind the bar to speak loudly on your palate. And they do.
