SPECIALTY // Shiraz and Stunning Views
Kellermeister Barossa Valley, a family-owned winery and cellar door, was one of the first boutique cellar doors to open in the Barossa in the 1970s.
Producing around a dozen quality wines each year, Kellermeister owner and winemaker Mark Pearce handcrafts small batch wines that express the purity and provence of the Barossa. The winery is renowned for stunning views from its mud-brick cellar door, which stands as a rustic reminder of the burning red ironstone
soil that makes the Barossa a unique and superb wine growing region.
The award-winning winery has received a range of international accolades in recent years, including trophies for 2019 Wine of the Year, Best Quality Wine, Best Shiraz Wine and Best Australian Wine at the London Wine Competition in May 2019 for one of its icon wines, Wild Witch Shiraz. Recently awarded the Barossa Trust Mark seal of quality for its wine and cellar door experience, and with plenty of lawn area, it’s ideal for relaxing with a freshly-prepared platter of local produce or kicking a football.
